light in night

i was letting my dog out to go to the bathroom, I noticed a bright light moveing from the west to the east.it was very bright and to low to be a satelitte.i ran and got my brother to obseve it.im new here to the area and saw a wierd light tonite...and yes there was an airliner in the sky that it passed.so i knew it wasnt an airplane.
