| An orange ball over Choctawhatchee Bay, in Walton County I was facing north looking at Legion Park on Choctawhatchee Bay. There is a security light in the park that has a bluish/white light on a telephone pole and almost directly over the security light was an orange ball. The orange ball was just slightly larger than the security light but much further away. It appeared to be over the middle of the bay. I watched it for about five minutes during which time it did not move. It was much larger than a planet or star but not nearly as large as a full moon would have appeared that close to the horizon. It did not appear to be a flare as it was stationary in the sky and it did not appear to be burning. I went inside for less than 1 minute to get my wife (who did not come out to see it) and when I returned it was gone. |
