A black object that rolled as it flew so it looked like a disc at times and alternately a circle.

I was walking the dog in my residential neighborhood and saw a black circle flying low directly overhead. As I watched, it rolled over or changed shape to a disc and then back to a circle. It continued rolling in this way and moving northward until I lost sight of it over my home.It was about one or two minutes. It seemed to me to be maybe 6 feet in diameter.
